Carlos announces a promotion to Principal

Carlos Acosta went on stage after our evening performance of The Sleeping Beauty in Plymouth on 21 March to make a very special surprise announcement.

After the evening performance starring Beatrice Parma and Tzu-Chao Chou, Carlos announced to the audience, the Company and Beatrice herself that she will be promoted to Principal from the start of the 2024/25 season.

Rounds of applause from the auditorium, the stage and the wings showed everyone's delight that this talented and popular member of the Company was being promoted and celebrated in such a wonderful, public way.
