Marverine Cole is a multi-award-winning broadcaster and journalist from Birmingham, with a media career spanning more than 30 years. She is currently best known as one of the Newsreader team on ITV1’s news and current affairs breakfast programme, Good Morning Britain (GMB).

During her long career in journalism, she has worked as a reporter, producer and newsreader for many of the UK’s leading broadcasters, including Sky News, BBC 5 Live and BBC Radio 4.

Marverine is an active supporter of the arts, classical music, theatre, and dance. She has presented radio programmes for Classic FM and hosted several of BRB’s Evenings of Music and Dance.

When Marverine is not busy on TV, she is tasting and reviewing real ales! Why? Because she just happens to be an expert on all things concerning craft beer, including writing a beer column for Britain’s most popular food & drink magazine, “BBC Good Food”.
