Age: 20

Where are you from? Hereford

I am currently… in my second year at university, studying a BA (Hons) in Performing Arts. Some of my hobbies include learning new styles of dance, training in aerial silks and hoop, as well as, making clothes and working with costumes. My favourite type of dance to perform is contemporary as I find it so freeing and it’s the style that helped me find my passion for dance.

I am a LEAP Ambassador because… I really want to gain a deeper understanding and knowledge of other departments in a large organisation within the arts industry. As a LEAP Ambassador, I am always willing to try new things and explore new ways of working, both as part of a team and individually.

What are you passionate about? I am passionate about everything to do with theatre, dance and arts! Going to the theatre and participating in weekly dance classes has been a huge part of my life and are both things I have grown up doing. My passion for them always continues to grow, especially when I discover new areas within them that I’ve never tried before.

Interesting fact about me: An interesting fact about me is that I love to try new foods from different parts of the world. I also love to talk about food! My favourite food would have to be Gnocchi. Gnocchi is very small dumplings made from potato, which I like to serve with mozzarella and tomato! It originates from Italy, which is at the top of my travel bucket list!

My first encounter with Birmingham Royal Ballet was… when I was younger, I had come to see their production of The Nutcracker. I always remember being in such awe of all of the dancers.

What is your biggest aspiration? My biggest aspiration would be to have a career within the arts industry. I would love to be working in theatres, whether that would be onstage or backstage. Being in theatres brings me so much joy and what better job is there than to be working in your happy place!
