Jamie has been a lifelong admirer of the ballet, with his parents often regaling people with the story of how the first time he ever sat still was while watching an outdoor performance of ‘Still Life’ at the Penguin Café by BRB.

A Brummie born and raised, Jamie has represented Weoley and Selly Oak Ward on Birmingham City Council since 2022. He chairs the city's Homes Overview and Scrutiny Committee and also represents Birmingham on the West Midlands Combined Authority’s Scrutiny Committee. Additionally, he serves as a Governor of the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital.

Jamie began his career working for Members of Parliament while still a student at Keele University.

He is now Head of Office for an MP and has previously worked as a campaign organiser and managed a foodbank during the Covid pandemic.

In his personal life, Jamie is engaged to his partner, Nathan. He enjoys watching cricket and always finds time for a good pub visit.
