Aitor Galende
Born: Castro-Urdiales, Spain
Trained: Royal Ballet School
Created roles: Roles in Didy Veldman's Sense of Time, (2019); Juanjo Arqués's Ignite (2018); George Williamson's Embrace (2018)
Role most important to you: Pan in David Bintley's The Tempest was my first role with the Company. It was very challenging but an honour to be part of the whole process of creating the ballet. Creating roles in new ballets and making choreographer's vision come alive is rewarding and special for any performer.
What inspired you to dance: I watched Swan Lake when I was four years old and afterwards told my mum, ‘I want to do that’.
