Help to support the work of Birmingham Royal Ballet and secure our future by remembering BRB in your Will
Be part of our future
Whether supporting brand new productions or enabling young people to experience ballet for the first time, legacies have a significant impact on the work we’re able to do, helping us grow and flourish for generations to come. Gifts of all sizes support the work of the company, and enable to us to plan for the future with confidence.
If you or a loved one has taken great pleasure from our performances, please consider helping others to discover and enjoy our work in the future.
Carol’s story
In Carol’s lifetime she supported apprenticeships from Elmhurst Ballet School to join BRB. She continued this through her generous legacy, and her commitment supports an annual apprentice for one Elmhurst dancer to have their professional contract with BRB.
The performing arts were something that ran deep with every part of Sue’s life. She understood the power of the arts to enrich our lives, and she loved to share her passion with everyone around her. By supporting BRB, she hoped to help a new generation gain as much out of this extraordinary organisation as she did.Sue Alvarez’s legacy to BRB
‘When I learnt the apprentice dancer role was funded by a legacy , it made me want to dance my best for Carol. I would have loved to have met her and hugged and thanked her for this opportunity. The best way to honour her legacy is to share my passion for ballet with audiences at every chance I get.’
Sophie Walters was the first Apprentice in 2023
