Sub-Principal Viola (No.2) and Tutti Viola (No.3)

Applications are invited for the posts of Sub-Principal Viola (expected to sit up to Principal as required) and Tutti Viola (expected to sit up to No.2 as required). The Sinfonia is London-based and is guaranteed 35 weeks of employment each year. In addition to performing with Birmingham Royal Ballet in the UK and abroad, it undertakes regular recording sessions and concerts.
Birmingham Royal Ballet particularly welcomes applications from ethnic minority communities as the company continues to be under-represented in this area.
Salary
Sub-Principal (No.2) £35,588 FTE (paid pro rata at 35 weeks work plus 4 weeks holiday, total £26,805 per annum)
Tutti (No.3) £33,632 FTE (paid pro rata at 35 weeks work plus 4 weeks holiday, total £25,332 per annum)
Audition requirements
A piece of your own choice and prepared extracts.
First round auditions will be held behind screens; sight reading may also be given.
Audition extracts will be sent to all candidates on receipt of application.
Audition dates
All auditions will take place in London.
No. 2 and candidates wishing to be considered for both positions - 19 & 20 May.
No. 3 - 15 May.
