At present, Freefall are busy creating for an upcoming Patrick Centre performance. Inspired by Hollywood fifties B-movies, Freefalling from Outer Space will be Freefall's first full-length piece and will be performed on 30 April-1 May. Tickets will be priced at £5 and can be purchased from the Hippodrome Box Office 0844 338 5000.
Building on previous years successful community initiatives, the 30 April matinee performance will be for an invited audience from Special Schools across the City. In the following weeks, Freefall will lead workshops in these schools, inspiring the young dancers to create their own performances. The results will be shared at dance festival in June managed in partnership with the Birmingham Special Needs Sports Association.
Freefall's founder member Julia Nicholls (above right) will be supporting Birmingham Royal Ballet artist Jenny Murphy and Tracey Fleetwood from Fox Hollies School with Junior Freefall. Building on her dance and teaching experience, Julia is excited about sharing her passion with the next generation of Freefall dancers.
