Peter Teigen
Peter Teigen, Lighting, was born in Oslo, and came to Britain in 1983. During the 1990s he
was Lighting Designer for London City Ballet, where he worked with producers such as Galina Samsova,
Christopher Gable and Marc Baldwin. At the same time Peter collaborated with a number of choreographers, such
as Ashley Page, Matthew Bourne and Michael Corder, as he developed a freelance lighting career. The many
works he has lit for Birmingham Royal Ballet also include Swan Lake and, most recently, David
Bintley's Allegri diversi. Peter is also an established dance photographer, commissioned by clients
who include English National Ballet, and has photographed subjects who include HRH The Princess of Wales.
Peter has recently completed an MA in Psychotherapy, focussing on the relationship between perception and
reality, work that influences and is influenced by his other two career strands.
