The Company Index
Introduced by David Bintley
Born in Essex, Jamie Bond is one of a number of the next generation of young dancers to be promoted to Principal. Jamie joined the Company from The Royal Ballet in 2003 and has progressed through all ranks of the Company. Over the years he has danced a wide range of leading roles, and handles all areas of the Company's repertory with ease. He has a fine 'English' technique, is a strong partner and an intelligent interpreter of dramatic roles. In this latter area, he has produced some of his finest work and for me his interpretations of Edward II, Sergeant Troy and Petrushka deserve a place amongst the very best.
Frederick Ashton: La Fille mal gardée (Colas), Daphnis and Chloë (Daphnis), Monotones II and Scènes de ballet
George Balanchine: Agon (second pas de trois, Symphony in Three Movements (2nd Principal couple) and Concerto barocco (leading man)
David Bintley: Edward II (Edward, Grim Reaper), Cyrano (Christian), Hobson's Choice (Will Mossop), The Sons of Horus (Duamutef), The Nutcracker Sweeties (Peanut Officer), The Shakespeare Suite (Romeo, Hamlet), The Orpheus Suite (Orpheus), Take Five ('Flying Solo', 'Double Take'), Beauty and the Beast, Carmina burana (Second Seminarian) and David Bintley and Galina Samsova's production of Giselle (Albrecht)
John Cranko: Brouillards (Voiles, Bruyères), Card game (Joker) and The Lady and the Fool (Capitano Adoncino)
Mikhail Fokine: The Firebird (Ivan Tsarevich) and Petrushka (title role)
Kenneth MacMillan: Romeo and Juiet (Romeo, Mercutio) and Elite Syncopations ('Friday Night', 'The Golden Hours')
Hans van Manen: Five Tangos (pas de quatre), Twilight
Peter Wright's production of The Nutcracker (Prince) and The Sleeping Beauty (Prince) and Peter Wright and Galina Samsova's production of Swan Lake (Prince)
