Luna Children's Chorus Workshops

BRB is looking for 30 London-based boys and girls, aged nine to 12, to be part of Luna, an exciting new ballet which will have three performances at Sadler's Wells Theatre in October 2024. The children will join the already recruited Birmingham-based chorus who will appear in the premiere performances of the ballet at Birmingham Hippodrome earlier that month. The children will form a chorus that will appear throughout the ballet, helping tell the story through movement and song.

About Luna Children's Chorus Workshops

The music for this ballet has been composed by leading British composer Kate Whitley. The children’s chorus will act much like a Greek Chorus, tying together the different sections of the ballet, and working particularly closely with Dutch choreographer Wubkje Kuindersma and British choreographer Arielle Smith. Part of their role is to sing UK composer Kate Whitley's I am I Say and There is Silence, which will be taught by members of the Education and Participation team from Birmingham-based vocal ensemble Ex Cathedra.

Following the recruitment of the chorus for the Birmingham world premiere performances, we are now seeking a second chorus of children from London to take part in the performances at Sadler's Wells.

Free auditions take place on 7 July (delayed from original 9 June). Use the links below to sign up for your chance to be part of this exciting new ballet.
